Business Development Manager / Sales Manager / Outside Sales Representative to join a Critical Power Company based in New York.

We're Looking for an experienced and strategic Sales & Business Development Manager to lead capital equipment sales, covering UPS systems, controls, switchgear, and generators.

This role combines leadership, business development, and commercial expertise. You’ll guide a regional sales team and rep network, manage complex sales cycles, influence marketing efforts, and play a key role in strategic planning and commercial execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive new capital equipment sales and hit revenue targets.
  • Manage and support complex technical proposals and major client opportunities.
  • Lead and support regional sales teams and manufacturer reps.
  • Contribute to the company’s strategic planning and operational direction.
  • Lead direct sales efforts and close key deals.
  • Coordinate with technical, executive, and marketing teams on sales strategies and events.
  • Oversee CRM accuracy, contract negotiations, and competitive market analysis.
  • Represent the business at events, workshops, and client meetings.
  • Develop and maintain key client relationships across consultants, contractors, and end users.
  • Office-based or remote with regular travel to client sites and events.

 

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Business Development Manager, Sales Manager, Outside Sales Representative, Sales Engineer or Similar would be advantageous.
  • 5+ years in technical sales management, ideally in capital equipment or power systems.
  • Degree in a technical discipline, Electrical Engineering preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of UPS and power infrastructure markets would be ideal.
  • Travel as needed based on sales project requirements.
  • Office-based or remote with regular travel to client sites and events.
