Business Manager / Area Sales Manager / Sales Engineer required to join a globally renowned supplier of engineering products based in South Yorkshire.

 

Their world-class range of products includes rotary tables, tool presetters and spindle optimisation and makes them the first choice for a variety of Precision Manufacturers, Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM’s) and Tier One suppliers.

 

The successful Business Manager may come from a background as a CNC Machinist, CNC Setter / Operator / Programmer or Machine Shop Manager. Prior experience with CNC machinery and Multi-Axis Machinery would be beneficial.

 

This is an exciting time to join the company at a period of continued business growth. The Business Manager role will focus on generating new sales whilst maintaining and growing the existing customer base.

 

The Business Manager will be responsible for the North West territory, so may be from Manchester, Liverpool, Preston, Stoke-on-Trent or the surrounding areas. They will be home-based and in charge of their own diary, but they will be required to visit the office in Rotherham once per month.

Role:

Assisting with the development of your territory’s sales strategy

Identifying new opportunities and customers to sell the product range to

Involvement in focused sales projects within a multi-disciplinary team in order to provide customised solutions for companies in your region

Maintaining excellent customer relationships through aftersales contact

Updating the CRM system to ensure all customer contact is recorded

Liaising with the internal sales and service teams to ensure an efficient ordering and delivery process for the customer

Be in attendance at exhibitions to provide customer support both in the UK and abroad

 

Requirements:

Background in engineering, ideally from a machining or production environment

Full sales and product training will be provided, but it is preferred for a background in sales working for a supplier or manufacturer of engineering solutions

Confident approach to speaking with people using strong verbal and written communication

Flexibility to travel to customer locations across the region
