
Metrology Engineer / CMM Engineer / CMM Operative / Laser-tracker Engineer / CMM Programmer required to join a company based in the North-West to attend customer sites and operate portable CMM tools.
This position will involve UK-wide travel and nights away at short notice whilst on jobs. The successful Metrology Engineer / CMM Engineer / Laser-tracker Engineer will be based close enough to Manchester to commute to the office on the days they are not attending site visits.
The Metrology Engineer / CMM Engineer – Laser-tracker Engineer will have experience operating CMMs and will be happy to travel

Metrology Engineer / CMM Engineer / CMM Operative / Laser-Scanner Engineer / CMM Programmer Role
Provide support to all customers across the UK when needed
Use Spacial Analyzer and Polyworks software to inspect
Operate laser-tracking equipment
Use portable equipment in order to offer accurate measurements of items including jigs, fixtures, machined components, fabrications and tooling
Able to interpret CAD drawings
Issuing reports upon completion of the work
Able to commute to the Manchester office when not on site-visits
Metrology Engineer / CMM Engineer / CMM Operative / Laser-Scanner Engineer / CMM Programmer Requirements
Experience with laser-tracking equipment, Spacial Analyzers and Polyworks software
CMM experience is beneficial – this can be with handheld measuring equipment or large CMMs
Ability to read CAD drawings
Happy to travel across the UK
Drivers licence with no more than 6 points and convictions in the last 5 years
