Commissioning Engineer / Robotics Engineer / Service Technician required to join a growing supplier & manufacturer of automation, packaging and robotic solutions.
The successful Commissioning Engineer / Robotics Engineer / Service Technician will carry out the commissioning and fault diagnosis on packaging machinery, automated machinery, conveyors and robotic systems at customer sites across the UK.
The Commissioning Engineer / Robotics Engineer / Senior Service Technician will ideally come from a servicing or maintenance background working on similar automated machinery, robots / robotic systems (ABB or similar), packaging machinery, or weighing systems

£35,000 - £40,000 depending on experience

Role
Candidates must have the capability to modify customer programmes including PLC/HMI for packaging and automation projects.
Knowledge of robot installation and commissioning is paramount.
Previous experience using ABB and Fanuc Robots
Ability to modify PLC programmes such as Siemens
Will be heavily involved in Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) before machinery dispatch to ensure successful commissioning based on different customer requirements.
Will be required to assist and train operators after the installation of the machinery
Liaising with other departments on site and on the road
Excellent customer service and communication skills when attending customer sites
Requirements
Previous role as a Commissioning Engineer or Servicing Engineer looking for a similar position.
Experience with Robotic Systems (ABB, Fanuc), Conveyors, automated machinery, Packaging Machinery (form, fill & seal) and weighing systems.
An Electrical, Electronic or Software Engineering qualification such as HND/Degree equivalent experience is desired.
Siemens PLC programming knowledge desirable
Must have a Full UK Driving License
Willingness to travel and stay when required
