Electronics Engineer/ Electronics Design Engineer / Electronic Hardware Engineer required to join a global engineering manufacturer.

The Electronics Engineer/ Electronics Design Engineer / Electronic Hardware Engineer will be managing electronics design and development of electronic hardware, systems and modules within the Transport Solutions division.

The successful Electronics Engineer/ Electronics Design Engineer / Electronic Hardware Engineer must have and electronic engineering degree and experience in electronic hardware design plus Python and / or Linux software systems.

  • £45,000 - £55,000 depending on experience

The successful Electronics Engineer/ Electronics Design Engineer / Electronic Hardware Engineer

  • Manage electronics design and development projects alongside the Engineering Manager.
  • Develop new complex hardware for new and existing products for road transport vehicles.
  • Hardware architecture development & PCB design.
  • Instrumental in device selection relating to Microcontrollers and FPGAs.
  • Translation of requirements into design detail, Specification & Requirement capture according to process and industry design standards.
  • Generation of technical documentation such as Bills of materials, system wiring diagrams/tables, system & sub-system specifications, test protocols and reports.
  • Specification /development of production test equipment.
  • Liaise with various engineering departments.

The successful Electronics Engineer/ Electronics  Design Engineer / Electronic Hardware Engineer

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Electronic Engineering.
  • Experience in Linux and /or Python software systems.
  • Electronic Hardware Design experience.
  • Extensive experience with PCB layout and designs.
  • Willingness to work in the design and development of systems, prototype production and aftercare.
  • Strong first principles approach with a demonstrable experience delivering tolerance and lifetime calculations.
  • Experience implementing automotive safety capable microcontrollers is advantageous.
  • Office based near Bradford and willingness to travel to customer sites when required.
