Applications Engineer / Service Engineer required to join a manufacturer of measuring & inspection equipment based in Burgess Hill.
A background as an Applications Engineer, Service Engineer, CNC Programmer, Machine shop manager, Quality Engineer, Metrology Engineer or similar would be ideal for this position. Exposure to CNC machines, CMMs, Machining, Quality Inspection tools, non contact measurement equipment, optical measurement machines, machine tools or similar is preferred.
The Applications Engineer will join the engineering team to provide technical pre-sales support to customers as well as customer training & technical assistance for new machines which are used within a shop floor, machining, quality and manufacturing environment.
The Applications Engineer will mainly support export customers and distributors, which requires up to 30% of international travel. When you’re not travelling, you’ll be office based in Business Hill.

Role
Provide technical pre-sales support to customers as well as customer training & technical assistance for new machines which are used within a shop floor, machining, quality and manufacturing environment
Supporting the businesses customers and worldwide distributors on both software and machine operation
Maintain up to date, detailed knowledge and understanding of product portfolio
Support customers with part analysis and machine selection, prior to order
Develop & maintain training materials to support customer / distributor
Attend Exhibitions / Trade Shows, to perform product demos and promote product range
Deliver training remotely and onsite for software based measurement equipment
Liaise with various engineering departments
International travel (minimum of 30% is anticipated), office based from Burgess Hill office when not travelling
Requirements
