
Field Service Engineer / Service & Calibration Engineer required to join a global specialist of scientific instruments including Dynamic Vapor Sorption (DVS) technology, electromechanical equipment and vacuum / pressure control equipment.
The Field Service Engineer will be based in the South of Germany the DACH region.
The Field Service Engineer will have an electromechanical service background, however knowledge of scientific instruments, Dynamic Vapor Sorption (DVS) technology, electromechanical equipment and vacuum / pressure control equipment would be beneficial.
If you are a time served engineer, full training can be provided.

Role
Carry out fault diagnosis and calibration of electromechanical equipment, including scientific instruments, Dynamic Vapor Sorption (DVS) technology, electromechanical machinery and vacuum / pressure control equipment
Ideally based in the South of Germany, covering the DACH region
Basic troubleshooting, installation, maintenance and repair of electromechanical instruments
Assist other Field Service Engineers
Maintaining tools and test equipment and ensuring they are properly calibrated
Provide prompt resolution to hardware and software problems
Installs software, hardware and executes performance analysis
Document all service activities
Liaise with customers in both German and English
Requirements
Proven experience as a Field Service Engineer / Service & Calibration Engineer / Service Technician or similar
A technical / engineering qualification in engineering or engineering apprenticeship
Experience in calibration / calibrating processes
Electromechanical servicing experience
Knowledge of scientific instruments, Dynamic Vapor Sorption (DVS) technology, electromechanical equipment and vacuum / pressure control equipment would be beneficial.
Willingness to travel throughout the DACH region – Ideally based in the South of Germany
Good communication skills in both German and English
