Fitter / Workshop Engineer / Electromechanical Fitter required to join a leading Engineering manufacturer in Aberdeen.

The Successful Fitter / Workshop Engineer / Electromechanical Fitter  will provide stripping, fitting, and rebuilding of motors, gearboxes, engines, generators and similar rotating equipment at the workshop in Aberdeen.

The Fitter / Workshop Engineer / Electromechanical Fitter  will have electrical or mechanical fitting experience of motors, gearboxes, engines, generators, compressed air, pumps, and or similar electromechanical rotating machinery products and systems.

Fitter / Workshop Engineer / Electromechanical Fitter role

  • Will provide stripping, fitting, and rebuilding of motors, gearboxes, engines, generators and similar rotating equipment at the workshop in Aberdeen
  • Will ensure all components are correctly fitted and operational before delivery.
  • Install electrical and mechanical machinery such as gearboxes, motors, generators, pumps, engines into all forms of the manufacturing industry.
  • Identify machinery damage and conduct basic electrical testing of equipment
  • Ability to complete technical documentation as work is progresses.
  • Liaise with various engineering departments

 
Fitter / Workshop Engineer / Electromechanical Fitter Requirements

  • Experience as an fitter, hydraulic fitter, mechanical engineer, electrical engineer, hydraulic engineer, valve technician, installation engineer, electro-mechanical fitter, service engineer, electrical engineer, workshop engineer, service technician or similar.
  • Good electromechanical engineering background such as wiring, circuitry, pumps, gearboxes, valves, motors, hydraulics, pneumatics, compressors, generators, or similar electromechanical / rotating machinery products or systems.
  • An engineering qualification, Apprentice trained, HNC, HND or Degree would be advantageous.
  • Willingness to commute to the workshop in Aberdeen
