Sales Engineer / Graduate Sales Engineer / Technical Sales Executive required for a leading manufacturer of valves, supplying to the oil, gas, and hydrogen industries.
The Sales Engineer / Graduate Sales Engineer / Technical Sales Executive will need to be able to commute to South Manchester and have an engineering degree or similar qualification.
The Sales Engineer / Graduate Sales Engineer / Technical Sales Executive will be responsible for identifying and responding to customer enquiries with comprehensive commercial and technical quotations.
This role would suit a recent graduate who is trying to get their foot through the door as a Sales Engineer, or someone who has recently started their career in the sector.

Duties:
• Reporting to the Sales Manager, the Sales Engineer will be the primary contact for new business involving commercial and technical issues
• Responsible for new project quotations
• Processing of customer orders from receipt to point of order entry
• Maintaining database of new and existing project opportunities.
• Focus on defined areas and accounts with the goal of increasing sales order intake
• Responding to customer requests for both commercial and technical information
• Protection of company from onerous customer terms and conditions, by review and exception to customer’s terms where necessary
• Regular communication with the external sales force, identifying leads and new opportunities
Requirements:
• Mechanical engineering degree / HND / qualification or similar
• Be competent in reading engineering drawings, and understanding technical specifications
• Experience in technical sales is advantageous but not a requirement
