The successful Grinding Technician / Grinding Operative / CNC Grinder / CNC Operative will operate manual and CNC grinding machines within a busy workshop environment.
The Grinding Technician / Grinding Operative / CNC Grinder / CNC Operative will ideally have workshop experience operating manual and CNC roll grinding machines, within the paper and/or steel industries.

The Grinding Technician Role
Programme, set-up, adjust, and operate manual and CNC grinding machines to perform precision grinding operations.
Read engineering drawings and understand the specifications and tolerance.
Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials onto machines and manufacture tooling where suitable tooling is not available.
Machining ferrous and non-ferrous metals including steel, aluminium and brass.
The Grinding Technician Requirements
Proven experience as a Grinding Technician / Grinding Operative / CNC Grinder / CNC Operative or similar.
Mechanical and manufacturing engineering qualification (or equivalent) or time-served apprenticeship.
Experience using CNC / Turning / Milling / Multi-Axis Machines or similar machine cutting tools would be of interest.
Experience in a similar high precision environment.
Experience machining ferrous and non-ferrous metals including steel, aluminium, brass, etc.
Commutable to Blackburn.
