Key Account Executive

Key Account Manager / Technical Sales Engineer / Sales Manager required to join a leading electrical engineering manufacturer, specialising with critical power equipment.

The successful Key Account Manager / Technical Sales Engineer / Sales Manager will increase levels of business with existing customers and key accounts, develop new business opportunities, provide technical sales support, proposals, quotations, and order handling of critical power equipment such as UPS systems, power controls, LV switchgear, batteries and associated electrical products.

The Key Account Manager / Technical Sales Engineer / Sales Manager will ideally have experience in an account management, technical sales support role or similar within the electrical or mechanical engineering sector. Full product training is provided.

Key Account Manager / Technical Sales Engineer / Sales Manager Role
Manage and grow business with existing customers and key accounts, as well as developing new business opportunities.
Give technical advice and guidance on electrical engineering product selection as per customers’ needs.
Generate quotations and proposals of critical power equipment such as UPS systems, power controls, LV switchgear, batteries and associated electrical products.
Carry out contractual review and preparation of formal quotations against customer requirements.
Liaising with suppliers, subcontractors and staff to ensure that cost estimation is carried out and that profitability expectations are met.
Technical proposals and support to the sales, service and design team through effective coordination and preparation of electrical quotations.
Offer customers advice on critical power equipment, UPS systems, power controls, LV switchgear, batteries and associated electrical products.
Liaise with various engineering departments.

Key Account Manager / Technical Sales Engineer / Sales Manager Requirements
Determination, enthusiasm, and motivation to succeed and grow with a reputable electrical engineering supplier.
Technical aptitude and / or understanding of electrical engineering components. Full product training provided.
Experience as an Key Account Manager, Technical Sales Engineer, Sales Manager, Proposals Engineer, Contracts Engineer, Account Manager, Technical Sales Support, Sales Engineer, Business Development Manager, Area Sales Manager or similar.
Service Engineers / Installation Engineer with UPS systems, LV switchgear or batteries or similar electrical engineering experience looking to come off the tools would also be of interest.
Electrical, electronic or mechanical qualification, HNC, HND or degree would be advantageous.
Home-based, willingness to travel to customer sites when required.
