Manufacturing Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Address manufacturing issues, improvements, and new projects related to machines, tooling, processes, methods, and plant installations.
  • Collaborate with the management team to drive manufacturing strategies.
  • Promote safety and housekeeping in manufacturing areas.
  • Develop, evaluate, and enhance manufacturing processes for cost-effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Implement new plant processes, tools, equipment, and process expansions.
  • Conduct time, motion, and method studies to establish production standards.
  • Investigate and resolve quality issues with corrective actions.
  • Support new product development by improving manufacturability in the design phase.
  • Estimate production times, tooling needs, costs, and plant requirements for decision-making.
  • Collaborate with customers and design teams to optimize production methods.
  • Lead new product launch activities, including trials, machine and tooling specification, process documentation, and implementation.
  • Provide direct support to manufacturing departments and ensure process updates are reflected in engineering documentation.
  • Assist with technical training programs and plant projects.

 

Manufacturing Engineer Requirements:

  • Strong background in manufacturing engineering, process improvement, and production optimization.
  • Experience as a Manufacturing Engineer or similar positions
  • Experience in developing and implementing new manufacturing processes, tooling, and equipment.
  • Knowledge of time studies, production standards, and efficiency analysis.
  • Ability to troubleshoot quality issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Experience in new product development and manufacturability improvements.
  • Ability to estimate production costs, tooling requirements, and plant needs.
  • Strong collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams, including design, production, and customers.
  • Technical expertise to support training programs and plant projects.
  • Commutable to Richmond, IN
