Service Engineer / Field Service Technician / PLC Engineer required to join a leading engineering supplier of hydraulic systems & components.
 
The Successful Service Engineer / Field Service Technician / PLC Engineer
Shall provide electrical and mechanical repair, service and maintenance on hydraulic cylinders, hydraulic valves, hydraulic power units, hydraulic pumps, hydraulic motors & similar hydraulic systems at customer sites across the UK.
 
The Service Engineer / Field Service Technician / PLC Engineer will ideally have a service background in electrical and /or mechanical engineering such as hydraulics, pumps, motors, compressors, high pressure systems, machine tools or similar hydraulic / pneumatic machinery with working knowledge of Process Instrumentation and PLC Systems .

The Service Engineer / Field Service Technician / PLC Engineer Role
To provide electrical and mechanical repair, service and maintenance of hydraulic & pneumatic equipment at customer sites.

Maintenance and inspection of Process Instrumentation and PLC Systems.

Diagnose, repair and maintain electrical and instrumentation systems.
The Hydraulic Service Engineer will undertake planned and preventative maintenance, provide advice, diagnostics, fault finding of electrical, hydraulic & pneumatic systems.
Maintain, repair and install hydraulic cylinders, hydraulic valves, hydraulic power units, high pressure systems, hydraulic pumps, hydraulic motors & similar hydraulic systems.
Perform emergency breakdown fault finding and repairs on various hydraulic systems.
Liaise with various engineering departments.
 
The Service Engineer / Field Service Technician / PLC Engineer Requirements
Experience as a Field Service Engineer, Service Engineer, Hydraulic Technician, Installation Engineer,
 Controls Engineer, Control Systems Engineer, PLC Engineer, Automation Engineer, Instrumentation Engineer  Mechanical Engineer or similar.
Proven diagnostic skills on complicated electrical / mechanical engineering systems.
Service background in electrical and /or mechanical engineering such as hydraulics, pumps, motors, compressors, high pressure systems, machine tools or similar hydraulic / pneumatic machinery.

With working knowledge of Process Instrumentation and PLC Systems .

Good working knowledge of 3 phase motors, 3-phase electrics or 3-phase controls would be advantageous.
A technical mechanical / electrical / electronic / instrumentation qualification, Apprentice trained, HNC, HND or Degree would be advantageous.
Commutable to Bradford and willingness to travel UK wide.
