Procurement Officer / Procurement Coordinator / Buyer to join a leading engineering supplier of pneumatics / compressed air systems.

The successful Procurement Officer / Procurement Coordinator / Buyer will require previous buying / purchasing experience and have worked in an engineering or manufacturing environment.

Procurement Officer / Procurement Coordinator / Buyer Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the best possible value when fulfilling stock requirements for all business operations.
  • Maintain and develop the supply chain, procure new stock items, control stock, and manage stock records and webstore records.
  • Process supplier invoices and oversee stores operatives in handling goods in/out processes and upkeep of the stores.
  • Collaborate closely with the scheduling and sales teams to process daily stock requirements, focusing on cost management and quality maintenance.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of procedures to enhance departmental efficiency.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, busy environment where organisation and constant communication with suppliers, engineers, and team members are essential for success.
  • Commutable to East London.

 

Procurement Officer / Procurement Coordinator / Buyer Requirements:

  • Previous experience as Procurement Officer, Procurement Coordinator, Buyer, Purchasing Coordinator, Category Manager, Procurement Analyst or similar.
  • Possesses an outgoing and confident personality, with a passion for building and maintaining relationships.
  • Demonstrates excellent communication skills across telephone, email, and written formats.
  • Holds extensive knowledge of stock management and goods in/out procedures.
  • Well-versed in the administrative processes of purchasing.
  • Proficient in IT, particularly with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong mathematical skills.
  • At least 4 years of experience in a purchasing role.
  • Over 4 years of experience working with stock management software.
  • Commutable to office in East London.
