Sales Engineer / Outside Sales Engineer / Territory Manager / Business Development Manager / Business Development Engineer required for global manufacturer of fluid handling components and fluid systems, including valves, pumps, instrumentation, tube fittings, seals, regulators, hoses, etc.
Sales Engineer / Outside Sales Engineer / Territory Manager / Business Development Manager / Business Development Engineer will cover the Long Island, New York area and will ideally have a background selling fluid power / fluid systems, including valves, pumps, instrumentation, tube fittings, seals, regulators, hoses, filters, hydraulics or similar. However, this is not essential. Outside Sales Engineers with any background may apply.

Sales Engineer / Outside Sales Engineer / Territory Manager Role
Covering the Long Island territory, managing and developing an existing client base and also be able to bring on new profitable clients.
Working with industries such as Chemical, Energy, Food & Beverage, Industrial OEMs, Life Science, Metals, Mining, Power, & Pulp and Paper.
Selling fluid system components and solutions, including valves, pumps, instrumentation, tube fittings, seals, regulators, hoses, etc
Identify and develop new customers and sales opportunities.
Manage territory/customer forecasts, budgets, and cost controls using company-approved systems.
Negotiate orders, including technical, commercial, and legal details.
Travel to customer locations regularly to maintain face-to-face contact.
New business development and account management
Liaise with various engineering departments
Sales Engineer / Outside Sales Engineer / Territory Manager Requirements
Experience as a Sales Engineer / Outside Sales Engineer / Sales Representative / Business Development Manager / Business Development Engineer / Territory Manager or similar.
An engineering degree would be beneficial but not essential
A mechanical engineering sales background with full product training being provided.
Experience selling fluid power / fluid systems, components and solutions, including valves, pumps, instrumentation, tube fittings, seals, regulators, hoses, etc would be preferred
Based in Long Island New York, Covering areas such as Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens & Staten Island.
