Service Supervisor

Service Supervisor / Service Coordinator / Senior Service Engineer required for a leading engineering distributor of compressed air products and services.

The successful Service Supervisor / Service Coordinator / Senior Service Engineer shall Supervise the work, assignments, and schedule of the Service Technicians plus provide technical and engineering support to customers with compressor installations, service, fault finding and repairs.

The service Supervisor / Service Coordinator / Senior Service Engineer will ideally have an engineering background in pneumatics, compressors / compressed air-related equipment, vacuum systems, rotating equipment, pumps or similar in mechanical engineering  Full product training provided.

The Service Supervisor / Service Coordinator / Senior Service Engineer Role
Provide technical and engineering support to Service Technicians and customers for compressor installations, start-up, maintenance and troubleshooting.
Supervise the work, assignments, and schedule of the Service Technicians and the profitability of the Service Department.
Assist in generating quotes for compressor service repairs / maintenance agreements.
Implement and maintain a comprehensive Service Technician training program.
Liaise with various engineering departments to ensure the correct compressed air installation and design.
To ensure all customers are satisfied with the proposed installation results.
Maintain the parts department including inventory.

Service Supervisor / Service Coordinator / Senior Service Engineer Requirements
Experience servicing or managing field service engineers within compressors, nitrogen generators, pipework, blowers, compressed air equipment, vacuum pumps, valves or similar mechanical engineering products.
Proven experience within the compressor industry as a Service Engineer / Service Supervisor / Technical Service Coordinator / Service Coordinator / Engineering Coordinator or similar position would be advantageous.
The ability in maintaining good professional working relationships with existing and new compressor customers.
A technical mechanical/electrical/electronic / instrumentation qualification, Apprentice trained, HNC, HND or Degree would be advantageous.
Determination, enthusiasm, and motivation to succeed and grow with a reputable engineering company.
