Service & Support Engineer

Systems Engineer / Instrumentation Technician / Control Systems Engineer / Application Engineer / Technical Engineer required to join a global leader within the industrial automation sector.

Systems Engineer / Instrumentation Technician / Control Systems Engineer / Application Engineer / Technical Engineer will be involved with small modifications, upgrades, maintenance and customer/client support on site.

Systems Engineer / Instrumentation Technician / Control Systems Engineer / Application Engineer / Technical Engineer have a strong electrical / electronic engineering background such as instrumentation, testing equipment, or similar electrical / electronics. Must be commutable to Runcorn.

Systems Engineer / Instrumentation Technician / Control Systems Engineer / Application Engineer / Technical Engineer Role:

• Dealing with breakdown, troubleshooting and repairs
• PPM visits for various jobs, fully planned and scheduled
• Electrical work with control systems and PLCs
• Multiskilled work with mechatronics and electrical
• Installing software
• Laise with various engineering departments
• Mainly on the road, after initial training: TUV training and other certification.

 Systems Engineer / Instrumentation Technician / Control Systems Engineer / Application Engineer / Technical Engineer Requirements:

• Proven experience in an engineering role within engineering, electronic, electrical engineering, instrumentation etc.
• Experience as a Technical Engineer / Project Engineer / Application Engineer / Support Engineer / Systems Engineer / Instrumentation Engineer or similar technical engineering position.
• A Technical Engineering qualification is advantageous, i.e Degree, HNC, HND
• The candidate will have an electrical engineering background, such as, PLC’s, SCADA, variable speed drives, automation, testing equipment, control gears, transformers, or similar electrical / electronics.
• DCS software, safety control system experience
• Worked with or had experience with clients within the food, pharma, oil & gas, chemical industries
• Understanding of ISO 9001 and Health and Safety at Work Act
• FULL UK Driving License
• Must be commutable to Runcorn
