Technical Author / Technical Writer / Technical Content Writer required to join a manufacturer in Portsmouth, Hampshire.
The Technical Author / Technical Content Writer / Technical Writer will be responsible for researching, developing and writing technical documentation and publications, such as reports & manuals for new and existing products.
The successful Technical Author must have proven experience of technical writing and technical documentation creation.
Package
£40,000 - £45,000 depending on experience
Pension – 6% from employer
Profit share – 5% of salary target

Role
Research, develop, write and review technical information
Produce publications such as reports and manuals for new and existing engineering products
Work with various engineering teams both internal and externally to gain an in-depth understanding of the product and the documentation requirements
Gather, analyse new and existing and potential content
Research, organise, and present technical information that is user friendly
Collaborate with subject matter experts (engineers, designers, and technicians)
Working on multiple projects/documents simultaneously
Produce high-quality documentation that meets applicable standards
Develop and maintain document templates, style guides, and other resources
Create tutorials to help end-users
Site based in Portsmouth
Month to Friday 08:30 – 16:30
Requirements
Proven experience as a Technical Author/ Technical Content Writer / Technical Writer or similar.
Commutable to Portsmouth, Hampshire
Experience in technical documentation writing
Excellent written skills
Must be able to obtain Security Clearance
