Welder / Fabricator / Aluminium Welder required to join a leading engineering manufacturer based in Tamworth.
The successful Welder / Fabricator / Aluminium Welder shall be on a 13-week contract with the view to go permanent, responsible for welding various materials, ensuring quality control, preparing materials for welding, interpreting technical drawings, and maintaining a safe, clean workspace while adhering to health and safety standards.
The Welder / Fabricator / Aluminium Welder must have proficiency in MIG, TIG, and Stick (Arc) welding, as these skills are essential for performing the fabrication and welding tasks with different materials such as steel, aluminium, and stainless steel

Package:

  •  £15 - £16 per hour 
  •  25 days pro rota holiday + Bank Holidays

Welder / Fabricator / Aluminium Welder Role:

  • Fabrication and welding (MIG, TIG, Stick) on steel, aluminium, and stainless steel.
  • Prepare and cut materials, including deburring, and marking.
  • Inspect and ensure quality control for all completed jobs.
  • Suggest process and machinery improvements to enhance efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a clean workspace.
  • Workshop based in Tamworth

 
Welder / Fabricator / Aluminium Welder Key Requirements:

  • Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and Stick (Arc) welding.
  • Experience with CNC machines, Break Press, and Guillotine.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
  • Basic knowledge of machine maintenance.
  • Strong attention to detail, especially in quality control.
  • Commutable to Tamworth daily.
