Area Sales Manager / Sales Engineer / Technical Sales Engineer required to join a leading provider of mechanical engineering products and services.

 

The successful Area Sales Manager / Sales Engineer / Technical Sales Engineer will focus on developing new business opportunities, managing key accounts and providing technical expertise of engineering products and services to the water industry, with a municipal focus.

 

The successful Area Sales Manager / Sales Engineer / Technical Sales Engineer will ideally have experience selling or managing key accounts of industrial engineering product and or service within the industrial water / wastewater industry. Full product training provided.

Area Sales Manager / Sales Engineer / Technical Sales Engineer Role

  • Will focus on developing new business opportunities, managing key accounts and providing technical expertise of engineering products and services to the water industry, with a municipal focus.
  • Maintaining mechanical engineering product sales with demonstration, exhibition, and negotiation to achieve targets. For products such as pumps, water tanks, pump systems, gearboxes, diesel engines and more.
  • Will provide technical expertise of products within the water industry and be involved in the sales process from enquiry through to project closure.
  • Work remotely / field based with regular visits to customer sites across the Midlands and North West
  • Liaise with various engineering departments.

 

Area Sales Manager / Sales Engineer / Technical Sales Engineer Requirements

  • Experience as a Key Account Manager, Account Manager, Area Sales Manager, Sales Engineer, Business Development Manager, Technical Sales Engineer or similar within mechanical engineering.
  • Will ideally have experience selling or managing key accounts of mechanical / industrial products, ideally within the water industry, or similar. Full product training provided.
  • Experience selling products such as pumps, water tanks, pump systems, gearboxes, diesel engines, motors, or similar industrial rotating equipment would be great.
  • Candidates with experience within the municipal sector, selling products or services are highly encouraged to apply.
  • Full clean driving license.
  • Willingness to operate remotely with travel to customer sites across the Midlands and North West.
