Area Sales Manager / Sales Engineer / Business Development Manager required to join a global, leading engineering manufacturer.

The successful Area Sales Manager / Sales Engineer / Business Development Manager will develop new business and manage key accounts across the Midlands region, promoting bespoke pumping solutions via OEMs and end-user channels. Full product training will be provided.

The Area Sales Manager / Sales Engineer / Business Development Manager will ideally have a technical sales background for engineering products and solutions for pumps, valves, actuators, hydraulics, instrumentation, pneumatics, compressed air, or other technical flow control or fluid power products.

Area Sales Manager / Sales Engineer / Business Development Manager Role

  • Promote and sell pumps and pumping systems, such as surface pumps, submersible pumps, and borehole pumps, across the Midlands region.
  • Develop new business and manage existing customer accounts within OEM and end-user channels, with a strong focus on pumping systems.
  • Provide technical sales support, including system specification, quotations, and tailored solutions for pump applications.
  • Liaise with various engineering departments to develop customer-specific pump solutions.
  • Visit customer sites to identify opportunities and recommend tailored pumping solutions.
  • Fully remote role, covering the Midlands UK.

Area Sales Manager / Sales Engineer / Business Development Manager Requirements

  • Proven technical sales or account management experience in a mechanical or engineering environment associated with pumps or pumping systems.
  • Experience as a Sales Engineer, Technical Sales Engineer, Area Sales Manager, Account Manager, Business Development Manager, or similar within the pump industry.
  • Strong technical understanding of pumps (surface, submersible, borehole, etc.), piping, valves, actuators, hydraulics, instrumentation, or other related flow control and fluid power products.
  • Mechanical engineering background with exposure to pumping systems would be ideal.
  • Full UK driver's licence and flexibility to travel across the Midlands.
  • Experience selling a technical engineered product and solution is essential. Full product training provided.
