Area Sales Manager / Sales Engineer / Business Development Manager required to join a global, market-leading manufacturer of liquid containment systems.

The successful Area Sales Manager / Sales Engineer / Business Development Manager will be fully remote, covering the North of the UK and Scotland. This role will be responsible for new business development and key account management with major customers for various products, including liquid containment systems, water treatment, geomembrane solutions, modular wastewater treatment, and OEM manufacturing components. Full product training will be provided.

The ideal Area Sales Manager / Sales Engineer / Business Development Manager will ideally have proven sales experience in technical sales within liquid containment, water treatment, wastewater systems, or transferable sectors such as industrial systems, pumps, valves, or capital equipment.

Area Sales Manager / Sales Engineer / Business Development Manager Role

  • Managing a number of key accounts for liquid containment products such as corrugated steel water tanks, modular wastewater treatment systems, geomembrane solutions, and OEM components via distribution channels and OEM customers.

  • Manage and grow existing relationships while also developing new business opportunities in the liquid containment and water treatment sectors.

  • Generating quotations, managing enquiries, closing orders, and maintaining CRM records.

  • Working closely with the technical and design teams to develop bespoke client solutions.

  • Providing responsive troubleshooting and technical support to clients.

  • Fully remote role covering the North of the UK and Scotland.

Area Sales Manager / Sales Engineer / Business Development Manager Requirements

  • Experience as a Key Account Manager, Account Manager, Area Sales Manager, Sales Engineer, Business Development Manager, Technical Sales Engineer, Sales Representative, or similar within engineering sectors.

  • Experience selling, servicing, or managing accounts within technical sales roles, including liquid containment, water treatment, or related industries such as pumps, valves, and industrial systems.

  • A technical engineering qualification (HNC, HND, Degree, or equivalent) would be advantageous.

  • Strong motivation, determination, and passion for sales.

  • Ability to manage complex projects from initial enquiry through to delivery and handover.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Full clean driving license.

  • Knowledge of the liquid containment market, water treatment, geomembrane solutions, and modular wastewater systems is advantageous.
