Associate / Director Project Manager (Architect)

Location:             Nottingham
Salary:                  Up to £95,000 per annum (Dependent Upon Experience)

This opportunity would be ideal for a Senior Associate or Director-level Architect / Project Manager with proven experience in the Defence sector, confident managing complex multi-disciplinary teams and leading design delivery from concept to completion.

 

Package:

  • Salary: Up to £95,000 per annum (Dependent Upon Experience)

Office: Based in Nottingham with hybrid flexibility (and some UK-wide travel as required)

Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday 8:30am – 5:30pm – Hybrid working available

 

Duties:

  • Lead defence-related architectural and project management commissions from inception to completion
  • Manage cross-practice design teams, ensuring coordination, quality, and timely delivery.
  • Liaise directly with clients and stakeholders, providing expert guidance on design, compliance, and project strategy
  • Drive business development activity, securing new work and nurturing key client relationships
  • Support and mentor junior team members, fostering a collaborative, people-first culture
  • Oversee project documentation including design narratives, technical submittals, RFIs, and change control processes
  • Contribute to the strategic leadership and growth of the defence division, helping shape long-term direction

 

Requirements:

  • Degree Qualified in Architecture, Project Management (or similar field)
  • ARB Registered Architect is preferred
  • Proven experience delivering architectural or construction projects within the Defence sector
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong understanding of UK Building Regulations and NBS specification systems
  • Eligible for (or already holding) UK Security Clearance (SC) is essential
  • Confident leading teams, managing budgets, and maintaining compliance across complex, multi-site projects
