DCS Engineer – Power Plant Modernisation & Reliability Projects
Salary: Up to $180,000 + Benefits

We are supporting a leading power generation business as they continue to modernise and upgrade their facility, investing in long-term reliability, efficiency, and operational performance.
We are looking for an experienced DCS Engineer to support a mix of control system upgrades, plant improvement projects, and preventative maintenance activities across the site.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys being hands-on with control systems while also playing a key role in the future development of a major power asset.
The Role:
- Support the upgrade, optimisation, and modernisation of existing DCS systems
- Troubleshoot control system issues and provide technical support to plant operations
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance strategies for critical control systems
- Work closely with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to improve plant reliability
- Support system modifications, upgrades, testing, and commissioning activities
- Review control logic, graphics, alarms, instrumentation, and system performance
- Assist with long-term reliability initiatives and continuous improvement projects
Experience Required:
- Strong experience working with DCS systems within a power generation environment
- Background in plant controls, instrumentation, or automation engineering
- Experience supporting upgrades, migrations, or modernisation projects
- Understanding of preventative maintenance strategies and reliability improvement
- Ability to troubleshoot complex control system issues
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with operations and maintenance teams
