Deburrer / Finishing Technician required for a leading precision engineering manufacturer based near Woking.

The Deburrer / Finishing Technician will play a key role in the finishing and preparation of high-value CNC machined components to the highest cosmetic and functional standards. Responsibilities will include hand deburring, removal of machining marks and sharp edges, vibratory finishing processes, and preparation of components for coating, anodising, plating, and assembly. The role also involves working from engineering drawings, using hand and air tools, and carrying out final visual inspection to ensure quality compliance. Experience working with aerospace-grade materials and tight tolerances is highly desirable.

Deburrer / Finishing Technician Role:

  • Hand deburr and finish CNC machined components to cosmetic and functional standards
  • Remove burrs, sharp edges, and machining marks from precision components
  • Carry out rumbling / vibratory finishing processes where required
  • Prepare components for anodising, coating, plating and assembly
  • Use hand tools, files, stones and emery, Scotch-Brite, pencil grinders, and die grinders
  • Read and work from engineering drawings and job documentation
  • Perform final visual and tactile inspection of finished components
  • Maintain high housekeeping and tool control standards

 

Deburrer / Finishing Technician Requirements:

  • Proven experience within a machine shop or precision engineering environment
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Experience with high-end cosmetic and functional finishing
  • Knowledge of aerospace-grade materials including aluminium, stainless steel, titanium and copper
  • Ability to work to tight tolerances without affecting critical dimensions
  • Understanding of rumbling / vibratory finishing processes would be advantageous
  • Confident working on high-value or safety critical components
