CAD Technician / Draftsman / Design Support Technician is required for global manufacturer and supplier of fluid systems, including Valves, Fittings, Regulators, Hoses, Filters, Instrumentation, Measurement Devices.
CAD Technician / Draftsman / Design Support Technician will be creating drawings of small or medium assemblies for customers using Solidworks and 3D CAD.
CAD Technician / Draftsman / Design Support Technician must be commutable to their offices located in Bristol.
An engineering graduate looking for the next step in their career would be considered for this position.

Role
- Utilise CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software to create detailed designs of electro-mechanical fluid systems such as ensuring specifications are met and comply with relevant standards and regulations.
- Read and interpret CAD/P&ID drawings.
- Make design decisions based upon manufacturability and will have freedom to optimise the layout to optimise based upon costing.
- The ability to interprete 3D and 2D drawings.
- Act as a point of contact for the manufacturing team, addressing any questions or concerns related to the design.
- Provide clarification, guidance, or design modifications as needed to support smooth production.
- Commutable from Bristol and surrounding areas.
Requirements
- CAD Technician / Draftsman / Design Support Technician / Junior Design Engineer / 3D CAD Technician or similar.
- Hold an HNC / HND / or Degreed qualified in Engineering.
- CAD Experience in 3D and 2D environments or any 3D CAD Package.
- Ability to read and interpret CAD/P&ID drawings.
- Must hold a Full UK Driving License and commutable from Bristol and surrounding areas such as Bath, Yate, Dursley and Thornbury.
