An Interior Designer is required to join a design-focused architecture and interiors studio in New York City, working in person with senior designers, principals and project teams on complex residential, mixed-use, workplace, adaptive reuse, cultural and institutional projects.
This is a design-led Interior Designer role for someone with strong space planning, materiality, concept development, visualisation and communication skills. You will help develop interior environments from early concept through documentation and implementation, with the opportunity to take on increasing responsibility across defined areas of interior scope.

The Interior Designer Role:
- Develop interior design concepts, narratives, mood boards, finish palettes and presentation materials
- Contribute to space planning, furniture layouts, material selections, lighting concepts and interior character
- Prepare drawings, diagrams, renderings, finish schedules and visual material to communicate design intent
- Support FF&E research, selection, documentation, pricing and coordination
- Coordinate with senior designers, design principals, project managers, consultants, vendors and fabricators
- Participate in client presentations, internal design reviews, material reviews and project meetings
- Assist with coordination of millwork, finishes, fixtures, lighting, signage and other interior elements
- Attend site visits and construction-phase reviews to help maintain design intent
Interior Designer Requirements:
- 6–10 years of post-graduate professional interior design experience
- Degree in Interior Design or a related design field
- Strong portfolio showing relevant interior design work
- Strong graphic, verbal and written communication skills
- Working proficiency in Rhino, Adobe Creative Suite and Enscape
- Strong organisation skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple tasks, materials, vendors and deadlines
- Collaborative, curious and design-driven approach
Desirable Experience:
- NYC multifamily or mixed-use project experience
- Experience with FF&E, finish schedules, specifications and vendor coordination
- Ability to contribute to both high-level design thinking and day-to-day project execution
- NCIDQ Certification
- Revit proficiency
