Electrical Maintenance Engineer / Maintenance Engineer / Control Systems Engineer required to join a global manufacturer of industrial materials and components at their Leeds production facility.
The successful Electrical Engineer will be responsible for supporting plant maintenance, diagnostics, and improvement projects, with a focus on electrical systems, control panels, and automation. This is a hands-on engineering role offering long-term development in a high-tech, process-driven manufacturing environment.
You’ll have a broad background in electrical engineering with experience in control systems, 3-phase power, VFDs, and PLC-based systems. Knowledge of high-temperature processes or heavy industry would be advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

Diagnose and resolve faults on manufacturing plant and equipment

Assist with R&D projects to improve or re-engineer production processes

Contribute to continuous improvement and site development activities

Perform hands-on installation, assembly, and upgrade of electrical systems

Support both electrical and basic mechanical maintenance tasks
Requirements

Experience as an Electrical Engineer / Maintenance Engineer / Controls Engineer or similar

Strong understanding of control panels, PLCs, motors, VFDs, 3-phase and single-phase systems

Apprentice trained with HNC or equivalent in Electrical Engineering

Strong analytical and fault-finding ability

Must be commutable to Leeds
