Engineering Manager

Engineering Manager / Technical Manager / Engineering Director / Technical Director required for a manufacturer of Flexible Printed Circuits (FPC), Printed Circuit Boards (PCB), connector solutions used in the automotive industry in Birmingham.

The successful Engineering Manager / Technical Manager / Engineering Director will have knowledge of with Flexible Printed Circuits (FPC), Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs), Connector Solutions or Automotive Electronics with strong Project Management / engineering management experience

Engineering Manager / Technical Manager / Engineering Director / Technical Director Package

· £80,000-£100,000+ depending on experience (Slightly hight if Engineering Director level)

· 20% bonus

Engineering Manager / Technical Manager / Engineering Director / Technical Director Role:

· Lead, develop and grow the engineering team

· Drive the execution and continuous improvement of the engineering & launch process, which takes projects from conception to completion

· Program management / project management of projects for Flexible Printed Circuits (FPC), Printed Circuit Boards (PCB), connector solutions used in the automotive industry

· Part of the senior leadership team developing the company’s technical capabilities ranging from process and industrial strategy, product development, R&D, launch management

· Management of various project teams and engineering (9-12 staff)

· Build strong relationships with customers, supplier and external design consultancies

· Act as a change agent for manufacturing excellence and product quality

· Manage budgets, capital investment and cost control for engineering and manufacturing projects

· Ensure engineering standards, risk management and product quality throughout programs

· Site based in Birmingham

Engineering Manager / Technical Manager / Engineering Director / Technical Director Requirements:

· Degree qualified in Engineering (electrical, electronic, mechatronic, automotive etc)

· Proven experience within the Automotive industry

· Project / program / process management experience

· Knowledge of Flexible Printed Circuits (FPC) Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs), Connector Solutions and Automotive Electronics is preferred

· Commutable or willing to relocate to Birmingham
