Financial Controller / Finance Manager / Head of Finance required to join a global engineering manufacturer.

The successful Financial Controller / Finance Manager / Head of Finance shall take full ownership of the P&L and balance sheet, overseeing month-end closings, reconciliations, audits, and financial reporting. You’ll deliver analysis on sales, margins, and performance, while leading one team member and ensuring compliance across all financial operations.

The Financial Controller / Finance Manager / Head of Finance will ideally be a qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) with proven experience managing the full P&L and balance sheet. You’ll be highly skilled in Excel, ideally with exposure to SAP or SAGE 50, and confident in producing accurate financial reports.

Package:

  • £55,000-£60,000 depending on experience

Financial Controller / Finance Manager / Head of Finance Role

  • Lead full P&L and balance sheet management, ensuring compliance and accuracy
  • Reporting to the Nordics, Mediterranean, and Distribution Commercial Controller, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the financial operations
  • Oversee general ledger, month-end closings, reconciliations, and audit preparation.
  • Lead and mentor one team member whilst taking on ownership of additional financial duties.
  • Provide financial analysis, margin reviews, and weekly sales/order reporting.
  • Hybrid working - 2 days remote 3 days on Site in Chester

Financial Controller / Finance Manager / Head of Finance Requirements

  • Qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) with financial controlling experience.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, financial modelling ).
  • Experience with SAP and/or SAGE 50 accounting software is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication, organizational skills, and ability to work independently.
  • Experience closing and managing the full P&L and balance sheet management.
  • Remote working plus being commutable to the site in Chester 3 days a week.
