General Manager/Branch Manager/Operations Manager

$150,000 - $170,000 + 40% Bonus

A General Manager is required to lead operations across HVAC, electrical, and plumbing service lines, with full responsibility for branch performance, team leadership, customer satisfaction, and operational growth. This role is suited to an experienced operations leader with a strong background in home services, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or related industries, who can drive performance through effective people management, financial oversight, and process improvement.

The General Manager will oversee daily operations while managing key business objectives, including P&L performance, service quality, customer relationships, and team development. This is an opportunity for an established leader to take ownership of branch performance and support continued operational success.

The General Manager/Branch Manager/Operations Manager Role:

• Lead daily operations across HVAC, electrical, and plumbing service divisions
• Manage branch P&L performance, budgets, forecasts, and financial targets
• Analyse operational and financial performance to identify improvement opportunities
• Develop and implement processes to improve efficiency, service quality, and safety
• Recruit, mentor, and develop department managers, technicians, and support teams
• Build a culture focused on accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement
• Ensure effective staffing, scheduling, and resource planning
• Support business growth through collaboration with sales and marketing teams
• Maintain strong relationships with customers, vendors, and suppliers
• Resolve escalated customer concerns and drive service improvements
• Lead strategic initiatives aligned with wider business objectives

General Manager/Branch Manager/Operations Manager Requirements:

• Proven experience in operational leadership, P&L management, and team development
• Strong financial understanding with the ability to analyse performance data and make informed decisions
• Excellent leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills
• Experience managing teams within HVAC, electrical, plumbing, home services, or a related industry
• Ability to travel locally for customer visits, vendor meetings, and occasional regional meetings
• Previous general management responsibility within a service-based business is preferred

Preferred Experience:

• 5–10 years of progressive leadership experience in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or related industries
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field
• HVAC/R, electrical, or plumbing licence, or strong knowledge of relevant licensing requirements
• Previous leadership experience within a home services environment
