An established HVAC distribution business is looking for a Technical Support Specialist with strong HVAC system knowledge to provide diagnostic support for residential and light commercial HVAC equipment and parts.

The Technical Support Specialist will support contractors and technicians remotely, guiding them through structured troubleshooting processes to identify root causes of equipment issues. This Technical Support Specialist position is office-based and focuses on technical diagnostics, documentation, and contractor support rather than field service or sales.

The Technical Support Specialist will play an important role in improving technical outcomes for contractors while supporting internal warranty validation processes.

Technical Support Specialist – Key Responsibilities
• Provide HVAC troubleshooting support via phone and ticketing system (Freshdesk)
• Analyze wiring diagrams, refrigeration circuits, and system performance
• Interpret voltage, amperage, and pressure readings to diagnose faults
• Determine whether failures are related to installation, operation, or component defects
• Document diagnostic findings within internal systems
• Record readings and request supporting photos, videos, and installation information
• Maintain clear and structured case documentation
• Guide contractors and technicians toward corrective solutions
• Provide installation and operational recommendations when required
• Escalate confirmed failures to internal departments
• Identify recurring product issues or quality trends

Technical Support Specialist – Requirements
• Minimum 3+ years HVAC technical experience
• Strong understanding of split systems and heat pump operation
• Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Professional communication skills when supporting contractors and technicians
• Bilingual English / Spanish preferred
• Experience supporting HVAC contractors or HVAC distributors highly valued
