I&C Commissioning Engineer – Power Generation - Texas
Verto People is recruiting an I&C Commissioning Engineer to support commissioning and startup on a power generation project.
Representing the owner, you’ll oversee testing of instrumentation and control systems, help resolve startup issues and confirm systems are ready for handover.
Key responsibilities

Review commissioning procedures for instrumentation and control systems.

Witness instrument calibration, loop checks and functional testing.

Verify control logic, alarms and turbine control system testing.

Witness testing of fire and gas detection systems.

Track outstanding issues and system readiness through to turnover.

Work with contractors and vendors to troubleshoot commissioning problems.

Monitor instrument storage and preservation during commissioning.
Requirements

At least 10 years of I&C commissioning experience within power generation or process plants.

Practical experience with distributed control systems and turbine controls.

Working knowledge of ISA standards.

Confidence reviewing test documentation and maintaining clear commissioning records.

An engineering degree or equivalent field experience.
Previous owner-side commissioning experience and familiarity with digital construction documentation tools would be advantageous.
