Junior Product Development Engineer

Junior Product Development Engineer / Graduate Mechanical Engineer required to join a leading UK manufacturer specialising in innovative engineered products.

This role is ideal for a recent graduate or early-career mechanical engineer who is looking to develop their skills in product development and design. Working as part of a dedicated engineering team, you’ll gain exposure to niche industry projects, CAD design, and product development processes while receiving strong mentorship and training.

Package

• Up to £28,000 (depending on experience)

• 25 days holiday + bank holidays

• Monday to Friday, standard office hours

• Office-based in Bromsgrove (local candidates preferred)

Role

• Support the development and design of new products and assemblies

• Produce and amend 3D CAD models (SolidWorks) and design documentation

• Assist with smaller product development projects while supporting senior engineers with larger tasks

• Gain understanding of sector-specific requirements such as performance standards and product testing criteria

• Present project work and thought processes during training and development reviews

• Work closely with the Product Development Manager and cross-functional teams (production, sales, commercial)

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or related discipline

• Proficiency with SolidWorks (essential)

• Competence in the Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.) highly desirable

• Strong problem-solving ability, with a proactive and independent approach to work

• Willingness to learn and develop quickly within a busy engineering environment

• Must be local to the Bromsgrove area or commutable within the UK
