Key Account Manager / Sales Engineer / Area Sales Manager required to join an award winning engineering supplier. 

The successful Key Account Manager / Sales Engineer / Area Sales Manager will play a pivotal role in managing key accounts and driving business growth for compressed air products and contract services throughout Midlands, including Birmingham, Nottingham, Leicester, Sheffield and surrounding areas, via end-user channels. Full product training provided.

The Key Account Manager / Sales Engineer / Area Sales Manager will ideally have experience in managing prestige key accounts and a strong willingness to develop further with an award winning business. Sales experience for mechanical products is advantageous such as compressors, pumps, valves, vacuum systems, filtration, blowers, nitrogen generators, pneumatics, hydraulics, capital equipment, rotating equipment, MRO, or related products.

Key Account Manager / Sales Engineer / Area Sales Manager Role

  • Managing a portfolio of prestige key accounts through end-user channels in the compressed air sector, including compressors, dryers, blowers, filtration systems, and other related products.
  • Develop new business opportunities for compressed air products and services within the Midlands region.
  • Discuss, negotiate, and finalise compressed air proposals with customers.
  • Maintain new compressor sales through demonstrations, exhibitions, and negotiation to achieve targets.
  • Work closely with the Compressed Air Service Department to ensure excellent after-sales service.
  • Liaise with various engineering departments.
  • Fully remote with regular travel across the Midlands.

Key Account Manager / Sales Engineer / Area Sales Manager Requirements

  • Experience managing prestige key accounts within mechanical engineering, production, or manufacturing.
  • Determination, enthusiasm, and motivation to succeed and grow with a reputable global company.
  • Sales experience for mechanical products is advantageous such as compressors, pumps, valves, vacuum systems, filtration, blowers, nitrogen generators, pneumatics, hydraulics, capital equipment, rotating equipment, MRO, or related products.
  • Technical qualification such as Apprentice training, HNC, HND, or Degree would be beneficial.
  • Full clean driving license.
  • Willingness to learn and develop in a high-performing, technical sales environment.
