Mechanical Construction Manager – Power Generation - Texas
Verto People is recruiting a Mechanical Construction Manager to oversee mechanical equipment and piping installation on a power generation project.
Representing the owner, you’ll monitor contractor delivery, review installation activities and help resolve site issues through mechanical completion and handover.
Key responsibilities

Oversee equipment delivery, positioning, alignment and grouting.

Monitor piping fabrication, installation and support arrangements.

Review lifting plans and attend critical equipment lifts.

Oversee installation of tanks, packaged equipment and auxiliary systems.

Review test packages and monitor pressure testing alongside the quality team.

Check equipment preservation, storage and material traceability.

Participate in walkdowns and track punch list items through to closure.
Requirements

At least 12 years of mechanical and piping construction experience within power or process plants, including five years in supervisory roles.

At least five years representing an owner and overseeing EPC contractors under lump-sum contracts.

Practical experience with large rotating equipment, heavy lifts and high-pressure piping.

Working knowledge of ASME Section VIII, B31.1 and B31.3.

A degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent field experience.
OSHA 30 would be advantageous.
