A Mechanical Lead is required for a large-scale construction project in Frankfurt, Germany, with accommodation and flights included.

This Mechanical Lead position offers responsibility for managing mechanical installation packages, overseeing subcontractors, coordinating site activities and leading engineering teams through to project completion.

The role would suit an experienced Mechanical Engineer or Mechanical Lead with a strong background in mechanical construction, large-scale installation projects and project delivery

The Mechanical Lead Role:

• Manage mechanical installation packages, overseeing daily site operations, subcontractors, labour and equipment.

• Coordinate mechanical works with the wider project team, ensuring installations meet project schedules and quality requirements.

• Oversee material procurement, equipment deliveries and subcontractor performance.

• Manage package costs, variations, valuations and project expenditure.

• Ensure mechanical works comply with health and safety procedures and quality assurance standards.

• Lead and mentor junior engineers, supporting technical coordination and project delivery.

• Produce progress reports, monitor project risks and coordinate with planning and commercial teams.

• Oversee snagging, project close-out documentation, O&M manuals and final handover activities

Mechanical Lead Requirements:

• Trade background with a relevant third-level qualification.

• Minimum 5 years' experience working as a Mechanical Engineer.

• Proven experience coordinating mechanical works on construction or engineering projects.

• Strong understanding of mechanical installation, site operations and subcontractor management.

• Experience monitoring project schedules, costs, procurement and quality assurance.

• Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, AutoCAD and MS Project.

• Flexibility to travel as required.

• EU passport required

Desirable Experience:

• Previous experience leading large-scale construction projects.

• Strong communication and organisational skills.

• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict project deadlines.

• Previous construction industry experience
