Panel Assembler / Wireman / Electrical Technician required to join a leading manufacturer of industrial HVAC systems based in Houston.

The successful Panel Assembler / Wireman / Electrical Technician will be responsible for assembling and wiring electrical panels and subassemblies used within custom industrial HVAC systems.

This role would suit someone with manufacturing and electrical wiring experience who is confident working from blueprints, control diagrams and power wiring diagrams, and who is comfortable using a range of hand tools within a production environment.

Panel Assembler / Wireman / Electrical Technician Package

  • Up to $24 per hour

  • Temporary contract with the potential to become a permanent direct-hire role

Panel Assembler / Wireman / Electrical Technician Role

  • Prepare work by reviewing assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, control wiring diagrams, power wiring diagrams and parts lists.

  • Gather required parts, subassemblies, tools and materials.

  • Install, move and modify equipment according to job specifications, standards and procedures.

  • Establish the most efficient wiring routes while minimizing material waste.

  • Label and tag components according to job specifications.

  • Complete assigned tasks within required production hours with minimal to no rework.

  • Maintain a safe, clean and organized working environment.

  • Complete production and quality documentation.

  • Operate a forklift to transport materials, supplies and equipment.

  • Work productively as part of the wider production team.

  • Perform additional assembly and production duties as required.

Panel Assembler / Wireman / Electrical Technician Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of manufacturing experience.

  • Minimum 1 year of electrical wiring experience preferred.

  • Experience reading blueprints, control wiring diagrams and power wiring diagrams.

  • Confident using hand tools including screwdrivers, wire cutters, wire crimpers and drills.

  • Ability to calculate material quantities and use a calculator and/or computer.

  • Strong communication skills.

  • Good logical planning and forward-thinking ability.

  • Able to work effectively within a team environment.

  • Forklift operation experience preferred.

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.

  • Comfortable working in an industrial manufacturing environment.

  • Able to stand for extended periods and perform physical duties including walking, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, pushing and pulling.

  • Able to lift up to 20 lb routinely and up to 50 lb occasionally.

  • Comfortable working in required PPE including safety glasses and steel-toed work boots.
