Outside Sales Engineer / Sales Manager / Territory Manager
An Outside Sales Engineer / Sales Manager / Territory Manager is required to join a leading manufacturer of engineered pumping and process equipment supplying into the polymer and petrochemical sectors.
The Outside Sales Engineer / Sales Manager / Territory Manager role is open to candidates from any engineering discipline, including mechanical, electrical, industrial, process, manufacturing or similar. The position suits both experienced sales professionals and engineers looking to move into a customer-facing technical sales role.
This role will operate across the Eastern or Midwest regions, working with customers involved in polymer production, storage, packaging, and petrochemical processing.

Base Salary: $100K–$120K
Bonus: Up to 25% (year one)

Outside Sales Engineer / Sales Manager / Territory Manager Role
- Manage and grow an existing customer base within the polymer and petrochemical sectors while developing new business across the region.
- Visit polymer plants, petrochemical facilities, and polymer storage and packaging operations to maintain relationships and address customer needs.
- Identify and pursue new opportunities through market awareness, prospecting, and onsite engagement.
- Work with engineering companies, end users, and plant teams to match products to applications.
- Support customers involved in polymer handling including storage, sorting, packaging, and transport of polymer products.
- Work closely with internal teams and assist with technical questions, application requirements, and project needs.
- Coordinate with inside sales for quotations, pricing, and service scheduling.
- Advise on correct equipment selection and support customers with troubleshooting.
Outside Sales Engineer / Sales Manager / Territory Manager Requirements
- Previous experience as a Sales Engineer / Technical Sales / Application Engineer / Business Development Manager / Field Service Engineer / Project Engineer / Process Engineer or similar is beneficial.
- Exposure to polymer or petrochemical environments such as polymer handling, storage, packaging, or plant support equipment is strongly advantageous.
- Open to candidates from pumps, compressors, process equipment, rotating equipment, material handling, and industrial machinery backgrounds.
- Strong interest in technical sales with a willingness to learn and develop through structured long-term training.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently across a large territory.
- Based in the East or Midwest, with travel required.
