Process Engineer

Process Engineer / Continuous Improvement Engineer / Manufacturing Engineer / Production Engineer required to join a manufacturer PCB (Printed Circuit Boards) in Birmingham.

The successful Process Engineer will be involved in optimising manufacturing operations and leading the introduction of new equipment and process improvements within a PCB (Printed Circuit Boards) manufacturing environment.

You’ll have a background in process engineering and continuous improvement with knowledge of printed circuit board (PCB) manufacturing is essential.

Package

• £40,000 - £50,000 depending on experience
• Based in Birmingham

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and optimise manufacturing processes from concept to certification
• Continuous improvement and lean manufacturing – using Six Sigma and quality improvement tools
• Assess production processes, conduct measurements, and interpret data to identify improvement opportunities
• Design, run, test, and upgrade mechanical and automated systems, including chemical and batch operations
• Drive introduction and commissioning of new equipment
• Create clear documentation, SOPs, and process control plans
• Implement and maintain 5S methodology across production areas
• Liaise with various engineering departments – Quality, Production, and Design Engineering
• Site based in Birmingham

Requirements

• Knowledge of printed circuit board (PCB) manufacturing processes
• Experience in process improvement / lean manufacturing / Process engineering
• Must be commutable to Birmingham
