Product Manager / Sales & Marketing Manager /Senior Applications Engineer required to join a global manufacturer of sensors, instrumentation and HVAC measuring instruments.
The Product Manager / Sales & Marketing Manager / Senior Applications Engineer will play an integral part in new product launches, ensuring that clients are trained on the products, providing applications to ensure smooth integration of products, and working with R&D to specify new products, through to launch.
This position would suit someone with proven experience as a Product Manager, or a technical sales or sales & marketing background looking to move into product management.
A background in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, manufacturing, or a technical product range is essential. Knowledge of sensors, measurement equipment, instrumentation, pressure, level or flow-related measurement products would be a benefit.

This is a Hybrid position, 2 days office based in Hampshire 2 days on the road and a day from home.

Technical product promotion and sales support
Product management of a diverse, market-leading product range
Support new product developments in close cooperation with R&D, production engineering and production
Occasional international visits to Germany for the headquarters
Assist with the preparation of documentation and planning of product launches
Monitor and analyse market and competitor information
Commercial negotiation with customers
Produce technical and marketing documentation
Handle day-to-day technical and commercial queries – often providing product demonstrations to customers.
Achieve targets for the designated product range and develop the business by liaising with customers, training internal staff and providing product support
This position sits between sales, R&D, production and customers
Responsible for the lifecycle of products from market intelligence, working with R&D to specify new products, through to launch
Identify and mitigate risks that could impact product development or launch.
Train customers and staff on products.

Proven experience as a Product Manager, Sales & Marketing Manager or a technical sales or marketing background with some exposure to product management

Experience with providing a high level of technical support both in person and remotely
Willingness to travel internationally to visit customers
Happy to travel UK wide when required and get to the office in Hampshire weekly.
