Project Engineering Manager – Power Generation - Texas

Verto People is recruiting a Project Engineering Manager to lead owner-side engineering oversight on a power generation project.

You’ll manage a multidisciplinary engineering team, oversee contractor design delivery and provide clear technical recommendations to project leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Lead discipline engineers and coordinate technical interfaces across the project.

• Review contractor designs against agreed specifications and project requirements.

• Manage design reviews, comments and resolution of outstanding technical issues.

• Assess proposed changes and provide recommendations to the Project Director.

• Resolve technical disagreements with EPC contractors and equipment suppliers.

• Identify engineering risks and coordinate practical mitigation measures.

Requirements

• At least 15 years of power plant engineering experience, including team leadership on major projects.

• At least five years representing an owner or client overseeing EPC delivery under lump-sum contracts.

• Practical experience in gas turbine plant design.

• Confidence evaluating technical changes and managing multidisciplinary engineering decisions.

• A bachelor’s degree in engineering is required.

Professional engineering registration and familiarity with digital engineering review and project documentation tools would be advantageous.
