Job Description
A leading provider of calibration services, precision measurement solutions, and metrology support is seeking a Regional Sales Manager / Sales Engineer to develop and grow business throughout the Houston, TX region.
This field-based role is responsible for developing new business, managing existing customer relationships, and promoting calibration services, metrology solutions, and precision measurement support to manufacturers across a range of industries, including aerospace, automotive, medical, energy, and industrial manufacturing.
Regional Sales Manager / Sales Engineer Responsibilities:
- Develop new business opportunities and manage existing customer relationships throughout the Houston, TX territory.
- Promote calibration services, metrology solutions, and precision measurement support to manufacturing customers.
- Identify customer requirements and recommend solutions that improve measurement accuracy, equipment reliability, and quality processes.
- Build strong relationships with Quality Managers, Manufacturing Engineers, Plant Managers, and Operations teams.
- Prepare quotations, negotiate commercial agreements, and manage opportunities through to completion.
- Maintain regular customer contact, identify growth opportunities, and develop long-term strategic partnerships.
- Work closely with internal service and technical teams to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate CRM records, sales forecasts, and activity reports.
Regional Sales Manager / Sales Engineer Requirements:
- Prior experience selling calibration services, metrology solutions, precision measurement equipment, inspection equipment, or related technical products and services within manufacturing environments.
- Experience developing business with customers in industries such as aerospace, automotive, medical, energy, defense, or general manufacturing.
- Strong technical sales background with the ability to understand customer applications and recommend value-added solutions.
- Engineering degree, technical qualification, or equivalent industry experience is preferred but not required; candidates with a strong technical sales background are encouraged to apply.
- Proven ability to develop new business, manage key accounts, and achieve sales growth.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel throughout the Houston territory.
- Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
