Regional Sales Manager – Fluid Power

Chesterfield, MI

$100,000 to $120,000 base salary

 

Regional Sales Manager / Sales Manager / Business Development Manager is required to lead sales and operational activities for a leading provider of fluid power solutions.

 

The role involves managing branch operations, driving revenue growth, and ensuring customer satisfaction across the assigned region. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, valves, motors, cylinders, fittings, hoses, tubing, connectors, quick couplings, seals, O-rings, manifolds, filtration systems, lubrication systems, air preparation units (FRLs), and custom hydraulic power units, with proven experience in industrial sales leadership.

Regional Sales Manager / Sales Manager / Business Development Manager Responsibilities:

  • Manage performance and development of sales and operational teams, including branch managers, product managers, territory account managers, inside sales, warehouse, and assembly personnel.
  • Develop and implement action plans to grow revenue, win new business, and expand into new markets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers to ensure long-term satisfaction.
  • Oversee proposal presentations, RFQ responses, and collaboration across sales teams.
  • Provide training for both employees and customers on fluid power systems and applications.
  • Work closely with leadership on marketing plans, pricing strategies, supplier relationships, and territory structure.
  • Monitor and control regional budgets, including inventory and operational expenses, to meet financial targets.
  • Lead, motivate, and collaborate with employees and supplier representatives to achieve sales and operational goals.
  • Take responsibility for branch structure, performance, and expectations within the region.

Regional Sales Manager / Sales Manager / Business Development Manager Requirements:

  • 5 to 10 years’ technical experience in hydraulics/pneumatics preferred.
  • Proven track record in sales / business development within industrial or fluid power markets.
  • Strong technical knowledge of pumps, valves, hoses, cylinders, fittings, motors, actuators, connectors, power units, filtration, lubrication systems, manifolds, and hydraulic accessories.
  • Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic control systems, automation components, and mechanical power transmission products.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or degree is a plus.
  • Strong computer and business system skills.
  • Customer-first approach with excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and deliver results.
