A Senior Marketing Specialist is required for a full-time role with an architecture practice in New York. This role is suited to an AEC marketing, business development or communications professional with strong proposal, pursuit, presentation and graphic communication experience.
The Senior Marketing Specialist will support marketing and business development activity across proposals, qualifications packages, interview presentations, branded collateral, digital content and strategic pursuits.
Senior Marketing Specialist Role:
- Lead qualifications packages, proposals, interview presentations and other pursuit materials from opportunity review through submission.
- Support pursuit evaluation, prospective client research and market research.
- Develop pursuit strategies and messaging that clearly communicate project experience and differentiators.
- Create marketing collateral, presentations, case studies and branded communications for print and digital use.
- Translate architectural ideas into clear written and visual narratives for clients and stakeholders.
- Maintain consistency across communications, collateral and marketing materials.
- Develop content for the firm’s website, social media, newsletters and other digital platforms.
- Coordinate PR activity, award submissions, media opportunities and publication efforts.
- Attend relevant industry and client events, supporting follow-up activity with firm leadership.
Senior Marketing Specialist Requirements:
- 6 to 10 years of strategic marketing, business development or communications experience within an architecture or interior design firm.
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, graphic design, architecture or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Demonstrated success leading complex proposals, qualifications packages, interview presentations and strategic pursuits.
- Strong writing, editing, proofreading and storytelling skills.
- Strong graphic communication skills, including typography, layout and visual hierarchy.
- Adobe Design Suite experience, with InDesign and Photoshop required.
- Experience using CRM platforms and marketing databases.
- Excellent organisational and project management skills.
- Collaborative, proactive and self-directed approach.
Desirable Experience:
- Salesforce experience.
- Involvement with professional organisations such as SMPS, AIA, CoreNet or ULI.
- Portfolio or work samples showing proposal narratives, interview presentations and marketing design work.
- Strong writing samples.
