Senior Quantity Surveyor

A Senior Quantity Surveyor is required for an international engineering project, offering the opportunity to work on large-scale data centre developments. This role is suited to an experienced commercial construction professional with strong quantity surveying, cost control and contract management experience who is comfortable working on rotational assignments.

The Senior Quantity Surveyor will play a key role in managing project costs, commercial performance, procurement activities and contract administration. Working closely with project teams, subcontractors and commercial stakeholders, you will support effective cost management and maintain strong commercial control throughout the project lifecycle.

The Senior Quantity Surveyor Role:

  • Manage project cost control, forecasting and commercial reporting
  • Prepare and review valuations, variations and payment applications
  • Monitor project budgets and identify commercial risks and opportunities
  • Support procurement processes and subcontractor management
  • Review contracts, scope changes and commercial agreements
  • Prepare accurate cost reports and financial updates
  • Work closely with site teams to ensure effective cost tracking and reporting
  • Assist with final accounts and project close-out activities
  • Maintain strong working relationships with clients, suppliers and subcontractors

Senior Quantity Surveyor Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor or Quantity Surveyor within construction, engineering or industrial projects
  • Strong understanding of cost control, contracts and commercial management
  • Experience working on large-scale projects is highly desirable
  • Ability to work independently within a site-based environment
  • Strong analytical, organisational and communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and relevant QS software
  • Willingness to work on rotational assignments
  • Fluent English required; additional European languages are advantageous
