Senior Quantity Surveyor
Rotation: 10 days on / 4 days off

We're looking for an experience Senior Quantity Surveyor to support the delivery of hyperscale data centres across Europe. 

This is a site-based opportunity for a commercially focused professional who is comfortable working in a fast-paced project environment, collaborating closely with project management teams, clients, subcontractors and internal stakeholders.

The Role

As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for supporting the commercial function on the project, ensuring effective cost control, contract administration and accurate commercial reporting throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing day-to-day quantity surveying and commercial activities on the project
  • Supporting project budgets, forecasts, cash flow and cost reporting
  • Monitoring project costs and identifying commercial risks and opportunities
  • Managing variations, change orders, valuations and payment applications
  • Assisting with subcontractor procurement and commercial management
  • Reviewing contracts and ensuring contractual obligations are understood and maintained
  • Supporting the Project Manager and Commercial Manager with commercial decision-making
  • Preparing accurate monthly cost reports and forecasts
  • Assisting with final accounts and project close-out activities
  • Maintaining strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and key project stakeholders

Requirements

To be considered, you will need:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in quantity surveying or a similar commercial role
  • A relevant degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Construction Management, Engineering or a related discipline
  • Strong understanding of contract administration, cost control and commercial reporting
  • Experience managing variations, valuations, subcontractors and project costs
  • Good understanding of project forecasting and commercial risk management
  • Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work independently and contribute effectively within a project team
  • Previous experience working on major industrial, engineering or construction projects would be highly advantageous

Rotation

The position operates on a 10/4 rotation – 10 days working followed by 4 days off, making it an excellent opportunity for someone comfortable working within a rotational project environment.
