Service Engineer / Field Service Engineer / Systems Engineer required for a global manufacturer of packaging machinery. 

The successful Service Engineer / Field Service Engineer will be responsible for the installation, servicing, maintenance, and repair of packaging machinery, strapping machines, stretch wrappers, conveyor systems, and other electromechanical products across the UK.  

This is a field-based role requiring regular travel throughout the UK and Ireland although ideally you will live within the West Midlands.

 

Service Engineer / Field Service Engineer / Systems Engineer Package: 

  • £40,000-£50,000 Dependent on Experience

Service Engineer / Field Service Engineer / Systems Engineer Responsibilities: 

  • Installing and bringing new machinery into operation at customer locations
  • Carrying out routine servicing to maintain reliability and reduce unplanned downtime
  • Identifying faults and completing mechanical and electrical repairs on site
  • Supporting customers with technical guidance and operational advice
  • Completing clear and accurate service documentation following site visits
  • Liaising with the service coordination team to ensure jobs are recorded and planned correctly

 

Service Engineer / Field Service Engineer Requirements:

  • Background in field service, maintenance, or breakdown support
  • Technical qualification or apprenticeship in electrical, mechanical, or electromechanical engineering
  • Experience working with automated or industrial machinery preferred (training provided)
  • Strong diagnostic skills with a structured approach to problem solving
  • Willingness to travel across the UK and Ireland as part of a field-based role
  • Full UK driving licence
  • FLT licence or willingness to undertake training
  • Living within the Midlands
