Service Engineer / Field Service Technician / Hydraulic Engineer required to join a global, leading engineering manufacturer.

The successful Service Engineer / Field Service Technician / Hydraulic Engineer will provide mechanical repair, servicing, overhaul, and maintenance of bespoke hydraulic systems and associated fluid power products across a range of engineering industries throughout the UK, with a primary focus on the Northeast region. Full product training will be provided

The Service Engineer / Field Service Technician / Hydraulic Engineer will ideally have a mechanical service and commissioning background with exposure to fluid power systems such as hydraulics, pumps, valves, instrumentation, actuators, or related hydraulic systems and the ability to read and interpret hydraulic drawings and specifications.

Service Engineer / Field Service Technician / Hydraulic Engineer Role

  • Provide mechanical repair, service, maintenance, commissioning and overhaul of bespoke hydraulic systems in various industries.
  • Undertake planned and preventative maintenance, as well as diagnostics and fault finding on hydraulic equipment at customer sites across the UK.
  • Install, replace, and maintain various hydraulic components.
  • Perform emergency breakdown repairs and troubleshooting for hydraulic systems on-site.
  • Liaise with various engineering departments.
  • Field-based role covering UK wide, with a primary focus on the Northeast region.

Service Engineer / Field Service Technician / Hydraulic Engineer Requirements

  • Proven service and maintenance skills within a mechanical engineering environment, ideally in hydraulics.
  • Experience as a Service Engineer, Maintenance Engineer, Service Technician, Field Service Engineer, Hydraulic Engineer, or similar with a mechanical bias.
  • Hands-on experience with hydraulics, hydraulic power packs, hydraulic actuators, hydraulic presses or similar is advantageous.
  • Mechanical engineering background with exposure to fluid power systems such as hydraulics, pumps, valves, instrumentation, actuators, or related hydraulic systems.
  • Hydraulic design knowledge with the ability to read and interpret hydraulic drawings and specifications.
  • Full UK driver’s licence.
  • Willing to cover the UK, with a primary focus on the Northeast region. Full product training will be provided
