Service Engineer / Field Service Technician / Electromechanical Engineer required to join a specialist engineering manufacturer supporting high-precision industrial machinery and automation systems.
The successful Service Engineer / Field Service Technician / Electromechanical Engineer will provide mechanical and electrical service, fault finding, commissioning, and maintenance of high-precision industrial machinery and associated control systems across a range of manufacturing and engineering environments throughout the UK.
The Service Engineer / Field Service Technician / Electromechanical Engineer will ideally have a strong electromechanical background with hands-on experience working with PLC controls, industrial PCs (IPC), and electrical control systems. The role will involve interrogating machines, retrieving and transferring data, reprogramming systems where required, and supporting customers with diagnostics and repairs. This is a field-based position with occasional visits to the Telford facility for training and support. Full product training provided.

- £40,000 – £50,000 basic (depending on experience)

Electromechanical Service Engineer / Field Service Technician Role
- Carry out diagnostics, repairs, servicing, and preventative maintenance on high-precision industrial machinery and electromechanical systems.
- Work with PLC controls, industrial PCs (IPC), electrical control circuits, and motor systems, including single-phase and three-phase installations.
- Interrogate machine control systems, retrieve operational data, and support troubleshooting and reprogramming where required.
- Perform mechanical tasks including motor installation, machine rebuilds, and disassembly/reassembly of machinery.
- Provide breakdown support and technical troubleshooting for customers across the UK.
- Field-based role covering the UK with occasional international travel after full training.
Electromechanical Service Engineer / Field Service Technician Requirements
- Proven experience servicing electromechanical or automated industrial machinery.
- Strong electrical knowledge including PLC controls, industrial PCs, control circuits, and three-phase electrical systems.
- Hands-on mechanical experience including machine rebuilding, motor installation, and precision mechanical systems.
- Background in industrial automation, robotics, CNC machinery, or high-precision manufacturing equipment is highly desirable.
- Mechanical or electrical engineering background.
- Full UK driver’s licence and willingness to travel across the UK
